Hello! I am a PhD researcher in theoretical cosmology at Newcastle University, working under the supervision of Prof. Cora Uhlemann. I’m interested in the cosmic large-scale structure – the intricate network of filaments, nodes, walls, and voids that we call the cosmic web – and what is can tell us about cosmology and fundamental physics. Much of my research is about finding new ways to describe this structure beyond the usual 2-point statistics, and understanding how galaxies trace the underlying distribution of dark matter.
I am a keen advocate for the advancement and empowerment of under-represented groups in physics and astronomy, and in particular LGBTQIA+ people. I am part of the organising committee for the Trans and Non-Binary Physicists network, a community for transgender and non-binary people at all levels in physics to network, support one another, and socialise.
Away from science, I love to play and listen to folk and traditional music and read comics where the X-Men punch giant robots.
